As far as dating tips go, those that help you find great places to take your dates should be near the top in almost every dating advice column or book you read. It can be difficult to determine where would be a great place to take your next date. Hopefully these great locations will give you a little insight for great places to take that special sports fan you know and might be learning to love.

1. Sporting events. Not all sporting events are created equal but if you find a sports event that appeals to both of you it can be a great gift to give your budding relationship. More importantly it can a fun event for both of you to experience. Find a sport you both like and see what events, matches, and/or games are taking place nearby.

2. Sports pubs. If you aren't located conveniently to any professional or semi professional sports the odds are decent that you are located somewhere near a decent sports pub. This gives you the opportunity to go and enjoy dinner and drinks while cheering your favorite team on to victory regardless of whom other people in the room may be cheering for. It can also make for some great moments as you learn a little about the person you are going out with and which teams he or she is rooting for and why along with whether or not this person has some crazy notion like rooting for Ohio State before you go and fall in love.

3. Sporting museums. You'll find them in all sorts of out of the way places. Museums, Halls of Fame, and monuments to famous sports players of yesterday. They can prove not only a great deal of fun but also to be highly enlightening as well.

4. Playing sports. There are all kinds of community leagues for different sports and some communities even offer weekly pickup games. Be sure to go out with that special someone and get involved. You'll have so much fun and be able to do something that you've probably never done with another date: bond over baseball o any other sport for that matter.

5. Learn a new sport together. Is there any sport you don't both know? How about one that neither of you know? Whether it's tennis racquetball, karate, or hockey you can have a lot of fun learning a new sport together. The lessons will be fun, you'll have plenty of excuses to practice on or with one another and you might find yourself falling in love with a new person and sport at the same time.
